Opening hours

Opening hours

The museum is open from 10 am to 5 pm from Tuesday to Friday. On Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm. During school holidays and on various public holidays the museum is also opened on Mondays (see below). 

Superstreet

Please note: the expo Superstreet is opened on Wednesday afternoon (from 12:45) and in the weekends. During school holidays Superstreet is open daily.

Open Mondays

The museum is also open on Mondays during school vacations and on various holidays. This means that we are open on the following Mondays: 

  • Spring holidays: 17 and 24 February 2025
  • Easter: 21 April 2025
  • May holiday: 28 April 2025
  • Liberation Day: 5 May 2025
  • Pentecost: 9 June 2025
  • Summer holidays: 7, 14, 21, 28 July and 4, 11, 18 and 25 August 2025
  • Autumn holidays: 13 and 20 October 2025
  • Christmas holidays: 22 and 29 December 2025

The museum is closed on:

  • 1 January (New Year's Day)
  • 27 April (King's Day), please note that in 2025, King's Day falls on 26 April. So 26 April 2025 we will be closed.
  • 25 December (Christmas Day)

* Discount or free entrance only on presentation of the relevant discount card. This card must be physically presented. Digital variants are not accepted.

House rules

  • Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. 
  • Special rules apply to (school) groups. These are issued when the booking is made. 
  • Pets are not permitted. 
  • Visitors with a youth ticket are expected to provide proof of age when entering the museum. 
  • Students are expected to show a valid (digital) student card when entering the museum.
  • Holders of a CJP (school pupils’ culture) card, annual Museum Card, Rotterdam card, Rembrandt pass, ICOM card are requested to show their card at the cash register.
